What social memory should be kept of contents of dynamic media such
as the World Wide Web, and how should this memory process be organised?

From Rishab Aiyer Ghosh:
I defined [13] the Web as a static resource,
as compared to the dynamic resource of discussion groups. As such I don’t
see a great problem with organising and archiving – and freezing – dynamic
resources, let alone archiving copies of web content. Services such as
Alexa [8] are doing this and adding services to the
"social memory" but copyright and cost issues will have to be resolved
(I may pay for my living site, but I don’t necessarily want to bear the
cost of archiving it for posterity).
